HoverWord Chinese online dictionary

This Chrome Extension helps you read Chinese. You move mouse pointer over a Chinese character on web page, then the meaning and pinyin will show up in a popup window. You may opt to use SHIFT key to control the popup of the info window.

Usage:

To enable: click on its icon on top-right of Chrome browser so a check mark appears on the icon.
To dismiss HovChnDict popup window: move mouse pointer away from Chinese character, or press ESC key.
Click on the small speaker button to listen to the pronouciations of the Chinese character or combination.
When HovChnDict popup is up, press C to copy the currently-showing dictionary info to clipboard.
HovChnDict popup can only show dictionary info for two words at one time, if there are more than two, press left/right arrow, ←, → to see info for other words.
When HovChnDict popup is up, right mouse click will bring up a menu which has an option to search for more info on web. If the target site is in Chinese, you can right-click and select "Translate to English".
Click on the plus-sign button (on right side of speaker button. See fig.), a collection of related sayings will pop up. This helps in understanding word usage in language; and could be a delightful relaxation while reading. Sayings are in Chinese, of course; but you can always hover mouse over to see meanings. This button may not appear if data is not available.

'Simply mouse-over-text' means simply move mouse pointer over Chinese text.
'Shift-key-down and mouse-over-text' means

move mouse pointer over Chinese text and then press Shift key once, or
While holding down Shift key, move mouse pointer over text.
